In order to use Homestead SiteBuilder, many people have to download and install the latest version of the MS JavaVM.
Check for old JavaVM version 3167
Please determine what version of the Java Virtual Machine your PC is running - here's how:
1. Click the 'Start' menu on your computer's desktop, and select 'Programs'.
2. Look for an application titled 'MS-DOS' or 'Command Prompt' and select it. If you do not see either one of these applications, select 'Accessories' and then look for and select the 'MS-DOS' or 'Command Prompt' application. (A black 'MS-DOS' or 'Command Prompt' window will appear.)
3. In the 'MS-DOS' or 'Command Prompt' window, type 'jview' and press the 'Enter' key. (Some scrolling text will appear in the 'MS-DOS' or 'Command Prompt' window.)
4. The text line that appears immediately after the word 'jview' will look something like this:
Microsoft (R) Command-line Loader for Java Version 5.00.3802
This text line displays the version of your Java Virtual Machine (e.g. Java Version 5.00.3802).
Please check to make sure the old version (ver. 3167) of the JavaVM is uninstalled from your computer.
1. To do this, please download a special uninstaller application for ver. 3167, click here.
2. Double click on the file.
3. You will see a "Warning" window about uninstalling the MS JavaVM, click "OK".
