To play a sound file, the browser looks at its settings to see if it should play the sound file, and if so, the computer looks at its settings to know which audio program (e.g. Windows Media Player, Quicktime) to run and play that specific sound file type.

If the browser and/or audio program settings are not setup correctly, then the sound file will not play, even though the Homestead or imported sound file is setup correctly.

These settings are made by each individual user, and if the sound file does not work for you, that does not necessarily mean that the sound file does not work for others, or vice versa.
