An "image map" is an image that has certain sections which are linked to different pages or files. You can do this by using transparent gifs which is an "invisible" image. Here's how:
1. Login and open the desired page in the SiteBuilder
2. Save a transparent gif to your computer.
- With the mouse, right-click on the middle of the box below and choose "save target as" or "save picture as"

3. Save this image to your computer and import the file into your Homestead account.
4. Find or import the desired image to use as an image map. In the example below, the circled area of the image will be linked using the transparent gif.

5. Add the "Import image" element, select the "transparent.gif", and a clear box will appear, this is the "transparent.gif".

6. Resize and reposition the "transparent.gif" so it is over the desired link area. Also you can decide where to link the "transparent.gif" and its ALT Text (you can do this later also).

7. Optional: Rename the element. Even though this is an extra step, it will prove very helpful in the future in locating the image on the page.

8. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each part of the image you would like to link.

Note:
- If the image map is not working please make sure that
- you have linked each transparent gif correctly
- the transparent gif is in "front" of the underlying image. If a linked element is underneath or covered by another element, the linked element will not work.
- To fix this, select the transparent.gif using the dropdown menu on the right.

- After the transparent.gif is selected, click on "Element" in the file menu, and select "Bring to front".
